On December 1st 2019, a number of European Volunteer Development organisation’s came together for an Erasmus+ project, through which we aimed to present and convince you of the value of Family Volunteering. The project is implemented in partnership with: Pro Vobis (Romania) Volunteer Ireland (Ireland), Hrvatski centar za razvoj volonterstva (Croatia), Freiwilligen-Zentrum Augsburg (Germany), Vestre Aker Frivilligsentral (Norway) and the Centre for European Volunteering (Belgium).
The project will be finalized in May 2022. Until then many intellectual Outputs (IOs) such as handbook and guidebook, feasibility kit and position paper as well as promtion videos will be ellaborated and produced by the partners. Furthermore the project team will gather loads of information around conducting family volunteering activities as each country is carrying out pilot projects in cooperation with local volunteer involving organisations. This pilot projects thereby explore all the chances but also obstacles in setting up a family volunteering programme and will contribute to a bigger understanding of how to implement family volunteering succesfully in an organisation.
